***Steps apply to a Classic Shark machine without an LCD touch screen display with the main control box.***
When the main control box of the CNC machine and the computer are not communicating with each other, the computer drivers may need to be reset to establish a connection between them.
Issue: The CNC Shark is connected to the computer via a USB 2.0 port and powered on, but this message displays when the control panel is opened.
Solution:
Step 1:
Right-Click on the Windows Start button, then select “Device Manager”.
Step 2:
Find the “OEMTECH CNC Controllers” entry in the device list, click on the entry to display
“ncPod”.
Right-Click on “ncPod” and select “Disable”. [Notice the yellow error indicator on “ncPod”]
Step 3:
Right-click “ncPod” and select “Enable”. The yellow error indication shield on the entry will now be gone. The CNC Shark and the computer will now communicate.
If the yellow error indicator returns after resetting the "ncPod" driver, power off the main control box for five seconds then power it back on.
