When using the water-cooled spindles, the collet and nut must be assembled correctly otherwise, numerous issues can occur. Issues such as threads stripping, the bit being pulled out of the collet during a file, as well as struggling to remove the bit at the end of the file.

Collet, clamping nut, and bit assembly:
|Push the wide channeled end of the collet into the clamping nut.|
|The collet will snap into the clamping nut. If you flip the collet and clamping nut upside down, the collet will not fall out.|
Thread the assembled collet and clamping nut onto the first few threads of the spindle shaft.
Insert your desired bit into the collet.
Finish tightening by hand.
Using the wrenches that came with your Spindle kit, hold the spindle shaft in place and tighten the clamping nut down.
